EMPOWERING EXHIBITORS BEYOND THE SHOW RING
The Georgia Livestock Legacy invests in youth livestock exhibitors at the Georgia National Fair through scholarship and promotion to strengthen their personal and professional development.
Georgia Livestock Legacy awards and scholarships are presented each October at the Georgia National Fair. These opportunities are available through the youth livestock competitions.

Why The Georgia National Fair
The Georgia National Fair, held every October, is one of the premier livestock events in Georgia and the largest showcase in the state to display youth livestock projects to the general public.
Georgia's #1 industry is agribusiness, and the Georgia National Fair honors this foundation by centering the heart of the 11-day event around agriculture and the livestock shows. Exhibitors from all over the state compete to earn top awards in the state for the following livestock species: beef cattle, dairy cattle, hogs, sheep, and goats.

When exhibitors are showing their livestock at the Georgia National Fair, it is more than just a show ring. It is the culmination of months of hard work, dedication, and preparation to exhibit their project. It's not an overnight success; it's months and years of dedication to achieving a goal to make it to the winners' circle.

That is why the Georgia Livestock Legacy works to empower these exhibitors who have poured everything into their livestock projects while gaining valuable life skills that can only be taught in a barn with livestock.

A Foundation independent of the Georgia National Fairgrounds and Agricenter and the GNF, the Georgia Livestock Legacy has a mission to support the advancement of the livestock program and the youth associated with it. The program will be released in four phases. Phase one will recognize species champions with scholarships and awards. Phase two will include the introduction of a premier exhibitor program, where showmanship, Georgia Grown animals, and youth involvement in professional development events are recognized. Phase three will bring about educational workshops and outreach events for youth exhibitors, while phase four will foster facility improvements and greater industry support.

The Georgia Livestock Legacy is honored to reward youth who have showcased their personal and professional development through these livestock projects.
