The Georgia Livestock Legacy invests in youth livestock exhibitors at the Georgia National Fair through scholarship and promotion to strengthen their personal and professional development in and out of the show ring. Georgia Livestock Legacy awards and scholarships are presented each October at the Georgia National Fair. These opportunities are available through the youth livestock competitions.

In 2026, Georgia Livestock Legacy is working to raise
$1 million to fund awards and scholarships for Georgia youth exhibitors, with a long-term goal of $10 million to support the next generation of leaders.

Youth who participate in exhibiting livestock learn far more than how to care for an animal. Through early mornings and long days, they develop grit and a commitment to excellence, supported by family, tradition, and a camaraderie found in the barn. Along the way, they learn responsibility, teamwork, and a service to others. These values shape not only successful exhibitors, but also strong leaders and citizens for the future.
